Does Video Wall work with the Ring cameras we already have?
Every camera and doorbell on your Ring account shows up on the wall, whatever model and whichever site it’s at. Nothing to buy from us and nothing to swap out. The one exception is a camera running Ring Edge, which Ring’s platform won’t stream to any third-party app — those get a snapshot tile that refreshes instead of live video.
What do we need on site to run it?
Wi-Fi for the cameras, which a trailer router or a cellular hotspot covers, and a screen with an HDMI port for the wall. Out at the fence line, where there’s no outlet for a hundred yards, battery cameras with a solar panel do the job. Video Wall runs on Apple TV, Fire TV, Google TV, and Roku and in a browser, so the screen can be a TV, a monitor, or the laptop already on the desk.
Can one screen show cameras from all my sites?
Yes. Every camera on your Ring account lands on the same wall, whichever site it’s sitting at, and Auto-Cycle rotates through them so nobody has to work the remote. The standard plan covers 10 TVs. Past that, talk to us.
Can the trailer screen show only its own site?
Yes — every paired screen keeps its own layout. On the super’s screen you hide the cameras that belong to other jobs and reorder what’s left so the gate and the laydown yard lead, while the office screen keeps showing all nine sites. Hiding a camera on one screen doesn’t touch it anywhere else.
Does Video Wall record the footage?
No — Ring does that, exactly as it does now, and your clips stay in your Ring account. We never store or record your video; the wall is live. What it adds is somewhere to watch it: live tiles all day, and the night’s motion clips played back on the screen instead of passed around on a phone. For the fullest history, switch the plug-in cameras to 24/7 recording in the Ring app.
The site changes every week. Does the wall keep up?
That’s the point of doing it this way. Move a camera as the work moves and the wall picks it up. Nothing to rewire, no recorder to reconfigure. Close the job out, pull the cameras down, and they’re on the next site’s wall the day someone puts them back up.
