Common questions.

How do I connect Ring to my Samsung TV?
Samsung’s own route is SmartThings on 2022-and-later sets, and it shows one camera at a time. For the whole wall, plug an Apple TV, a Fire TV Stick, a Roku or a Chromecast into any HDMI port and install Video Wall on that — Samsung’s software isn’t involved, so it works on any Samsung of any age.
Can I watch my Ring doorbell on an LG TV?
Not through webOS — LG retired the Alexa-on-TV app that used to do it, and there’s no Ring app for LG. The fix is the same as any other brand: a streamer in an HDMI port. Your doorbell then takes its own live tile beside your cameras.
Which streamer should I buy?
Any of the four works and the wall is identical on all of them. A Fire TV Stick is the cheapest. An Apple TV 4K is the most powerful and holds the tightest live view. A Roku or Chromecast sits in between — compare them here.
Is there a Ring app for smart TVs?
Ring doesn’t publish a TV app for any platform. Video Wall is the app, and it’s on Apple TV, Fire TV, Google TV, and Roku — the four platforms that let approved third-party apps stream Ring cameras. Samsung, LG and Vizio don’t, which is why those sets need a streamer.
Does my TV need to be new?
No. The streamer does all the work, so a ten-year-old set with a spare HDMI port gets exactly the same wall as a new one. The only requirement is the HDMI port.
