What property managers ask us

Does Video Wall record or store the footage?
No. Ring records exactly as it does now and the clips stay in the building’s Ring account; we never store or record video. What the wall adds is somewhere to watch it — live tiles all day, and the night’s motion clips played back on the screen. For the fullest history, switch the plug-in cameras to 24/7 recording in the Ring app.
Can the front desk see a different set than the office?
Yes — every paired screen keeps its own layout. The desk can run the entrances and the lobby while the manager’s office shows the garage and the amenity spaces, and the order is yours on each one. Hiding a camera on one screen doesn’t touch any other.
We manage several buildings. Does that work?
It comes down to how the Ring accounts are organised. One account covering every property puts them all on one wall. One account per building means one wall each, which is usually what a site office wants anyway. The standard plan covers 10 TVs. Tell us how yours is set up and we’ll say straight away whether it fits.
What do we need to set it up?
The Ring cameras already on the building, and a screen with an HDMI port. Video Wall runs on Apple TV, Fire TV, Google TV, and Roku and in a browser, so it can be the lobby TV, a monitor behind the desk, or the office computer. Setup is a few minutes per screen and nobody has to come out.
How many cameras can we put on the wall?
As many as the building’s Ring account has. There’s no cap on our side — a dozen in one building or forty across a portfolio all land on the same wall, and Auto-Cycle rotates through them when there are more than you want on screen at once. Billing is per camera, at $1.99/month per camera.
Does it work with the cameras we already have?
Every Ring camera and doorbell on the account shows up, whatever the model. Cameras from other brands don’t — this is a Ring app. One exception on the Ring side: a camera running Ring Edge won’t stream to any third-party app, so those get a snapshot tile that refreshes instead of live video.
