LG TV

Your Ring doorbell and cameras
on an LG TV.

There’s no Ring app for LG TVs. There are two ways to get every camera and doorbell on yours anyway — one costs nothing and takes five minutes.

Free for 30 days, then $1.99/month per camera. Cancel anytime.

Nine Ring cameras — pool, front walk, driveway, deck, back yard and side gate — live on a wall-mounted LG TV

Any LG, any year. The TV’s own browser, or Apple TV, Fire TV, Google TV, or Roku in an HDMI port.

LG doesn’t make a Ring app, and Ring doesn’t make an LG app. Video Wall runs on the TV two ways.

1

The TV's browser

Nothing to buy. Five minutes.

  • Open the Web Browser app
  • Go to app.videowalllive.com
  • Pair it with your phone
  • Every camera, live
2

A streamer in HDMI

The native app — the better seat.

  • Apple TV, Fire TV Stick, Roku, Chromecast
  • Works on any LG, any age
  • Smoother with more cameras
  • The remote's buttons do things
3

Either way

The wall is the same on both.

Every camera and doorbell.

Live, all at once, on the big screen.

How to watch Ring on an LG TV with nothing to buy.

Your LG has a web browser. The wall runs in it.

1

Open the Web Browser app on your LG TV.

It’s the TV’s own web browser, on the home bar with the other apps.

2

Go to app.videowalllive.com and choose Pair with a code.

The TV shows a QR code and an 8-character code. Leave this screen up.

3

Scan the QR code with your phone and start the free trial.

It opens Video Wall Live in the Ring Appstore. Tap Start Free Trial and sign in to Ring if asked.

4

Type the code from the TV and tap Pair TV.

That links the browser on the TV to your Ring account.

5

Your wall opens.

Every camera and doorbell on the account, live on the LG. It stays up until you close the browser.

Older LG? If the browser won’t play live video, it’s too old for it — the streamer route below works on every set. Full walkthrough: Video Wall in a web browser.

Or plug in a streamer and get the app.

LG’s software isn’t involved, so this works on any LG with a spare HDMI port.

1

Pick a streamer

Any of the four. The wall is identical on all of them.

  • Apple TV 4K — the most powerful
  • Fire TV Stick — the cheapest
  • Roku or Chromecast — in between
2

Install Video Wall

From the streamer's own store.

  • App Store, Amazon Appstore,
  • Google Play or the Roku Channel Store
3

Pair with Ring

Open it and the TV shows an 8-character code.

  • Enter it on your phone
  • Every camera and doorbell appears live

Common questions.

Is there a Ring app for LG smart TVs?
No. Ring doesn’t publish a TV app for any platform, and there’s nothing to download on webOS. What works is Video Wall, a multi‑camera app available in the Ring Appstore — either in the LG’s own Web Browser browser, or as a native app on a streaming device plugged into the TV.
How do I connect my Ring doorbell to my LG TV?
Nothing is wired. Open the Web Browser app on the TV, go to app.videowalllive.com, and pair it with your phone in about five minutes — the steps are above. Or plug an Apple TV, Fire TV Stick, Roku or Chromecast into an HDMI port and install Video Wall on that. Either way the doorbell gets its own live tile beside every camera on the account.
Can I see my Ring doorbell on my LG TV without buying anything?
Yes, if the TV’s browser is reasonably current — sets from the last several years are. Open Web Browser, go to app.videowalllive.com, pair, done. On an older LG the browser may be too old to play live video; a Fire TV Stick in an HDMI port is the fix, and it gives you the native app besides.
What about LG's own Alexa app?
LG TVs used to show a Ring camera through the Alexa-on-TV app, and LG retired it. There’s no Ring app in the LG Content Store and webOS has no other built-in route, which is why an LG owner ends up here: the TV’s Web Browser or a streamer in an HDMI port are the two ways, and both show every camera rather than one.
Browser or streamer — which should I use?
The browser costs nothing and takes five minutes, so start there. A streamer is the better seat: the native app is smoother with more cameras on screen, the remote’s buttons do things, and it works on any LG of any age. A Fire TV Stick is the cheapest, an Apple TV 4K the most powerful — compare them here.
Does my LG TV need to be new?
For the streamer route, no — a ten-year-old set with a spare HDMI port gets the same wall as a new one, because the streamer does all the work. For the browser route the set needs a browser current enough for live video, which rules out only the oldest smart TVs.
